The Memorial 2007 Education Project:
Plinth Information Sheets

The Enslaved African's Memorial has a dual function, memorialisation and education. The Plinth Information Sheets with their bibliography are designed to inform and educate individuals about the history of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Slavery, which is depicted on the Memorial sculpture's plinth. These Plinth Information Sheets can be downloaded here, and printed as an educational tool when looking at this aspect of history.

Dr Nick Draper is currently the Senior Research Associate at UCL and the former Director of the Centre for the Study of the Legacies of British Slave-Owenership (2016-2019). He is the author of several publications pertaining to the Transatlantic Slave Trade and Slavery.
